About Erika Grover
Licensed in Maine and NH.
As a young girl growing up in southern New Hampshire, Erika was always fascinated with home design and architectural style and took every opportunity to spend time learning more about it: taking elective classes in school, checking out books from the library, and flipping through endless magazines on the topic. She would spend hours with a big pad of paper drawing up plans for the homes she wanted to build someday and creating the room decor within them, even designing some furniture pieces. She says she especially loved the unique features and historic charm of New England homes.
Life has a funny way of taking its own path, however, and instead of pursuing a career in that field out of high school, Erika started her adult life in the service of the country by enlisting in the Air Force at 19. She had some adventures, traveled, and gained life experiences that have shaped her as a person. Erika completed a Bachelor degree during her enlistment, and after completing her 6-year commitment to the Air Force she found herself in Ohio, a little unsure of her professional plans from there. While there, she met some talented nurses who inspired her to return to college to become a Registered Nurse, and that was the start of her next chapter in life. Missing New England after graduating, Erika returned home and started a very rewarding nursing career in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, working first with cardiac patients, and then transitioning into the Operating Room for nearly 10 years. She continued her education by earning her Master’s Degree in Nursing Education in 2013. While working, she also took an opportunity to rejoin the military as an officer for 4 years as a nurse, serving as a “Weekend Warrior” in the Massachusetts Air National Guard, discharging with the rank of Captain. When Erika moved to Maine in 2016 she immediately fell in love with the coastal area and decided to plant her roots here for good. Ready for a career change again and feeling the confidence and inspiration to try something totally different, she is finally reaching back to her childhood interests and putting to work her passion that had started at a young age.
“Becoming a Realtor has been such an exciting and refreshing prospect for me, and I’m looking forward to helping The Gove Group expand their Stratham office into Wells in southern Maine!”
